Ana Kasparian has emerged as one of the most virulent promoters of antisemitism in popular culture over the past few years, telling Israelis, for example, in the fall of 2025, “the whole international community loathes you.” She has also falsely claimed that Israel kills civilians deliberately, Israel engages in “mass slaughter,” and that America fights wars “on behalf of Israel.”
This may come as no surprise to those who are familiar with The Young Turks, the podcast on which she regularly appears. Still, some might wonder, what is the source of this extremism?
Her former co-host on the podcast Her Take, Jillian Michaels, exposed Kasparian in a segment on PragerU from November of 2025.
Michaels and PragerU host Marissa Streit began by discussing an incident that had occurred a couple of months prior to their discussion on PragerU. Michaels had famously walked off a panel discussion on Her Take that included Kasparian. It was shortly after Charlie Kirk’s murder, and Kasparian was using the discussion of Kirk’s death as an occasion to bash Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling him, among other things, a “ghoul.”
Finally, Michaels said, “I don’t know how every show ends up being about, how do we bash Israel? This is not for me.” She shut her laptop, took off her mic, and walked off the set in the middle of the podcast.
On PragerU, Michaels gives the backstory:
“When this came up, [it was] every week, Israel, every week, Israel. Everything was Israel’s fault. No matter what would come up, somehow.”
“Why do you think they did it?”
“Clicks. Clicks.”
Michaels goes on to explain how Kasparian’s popularity and following increased as she promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories. The easiest way to get clicks online, Michaels tells Streit, is promoting hatred.

Her Take seems to have stopped production in March after its viewership dropped off. Since leaving Her Take, Michaels has returned to the Actual Friends Podcast with Dave Rubin and Sage Steele, while Kasparian continues to do what she does best, spew hate for clicks.
